Creating wildlife habitats

Large or small, landscape or garden we can help with any sized nature creation project.

Making space for nature

Nature is in trouble and of course that means we are too. The threats facing our natural environment and habitats continue to grow. With rapid global temperature changes, many of the creatures that we share our land with will continue to decline and face extinction. This happens because there’s hardly anywhere for them to go without meeting a road, arable fields or other man made structures or developments. We really can help if we all do our bit.

We think that every school should have a small woodland even if it’s a couple of square metres. Planting native trees and wildflowers as part of our projects makes a huge difference to nature at a local level. Many of our projects in natural green spaces like common land and nature reserves have been a huge success for nature and people. Restoring nature isn’t as difficult as it seems but it’s something we have to consciously choose to do.

Carbon capture and biodegradability

Almost every part of our wooden structures is biodegradable. Over their lifetimes, the huge amount of carbon captured by the trees we use almost always outweighs our carbon emission impact during transportation and construction. Once installed, the timber structures return nutrients to the soil and contribute further to carbon capture.

Planted species (turf, plants and trees) not only benefit threatened wildlife species, but they also create areas of natural beauty and sequester carbon. Our play areas are always made from sustainably sourced oak and other hardwoods from the UK.
