We specialise in

Designing and building wild natural play areas

We’re the only company that makes living breathing play areas. From a small wildflower meadow to a vast play structure, we’re here to reconnect children with nature through play.

Restoring natural habitats

We are experts at creating space for nature and we do this on any scale. We can restore wildlife habitats in schools, gardens, hospitals, farms and even in towns and cities.

Making history come to life

With our special approach to sense of place, our designs put the magic of history and the stories of the past at everyone's fingertips.

Bringing Play, Conservation, and People together

Children have played in nature for millennia but many children are no longer allowed or able to do this. We are losing touch with nature and connections to places by corralling our children in designated manufactured playspaces, where risk taking is often limited and play is prescribed by the designers.

Just under a third of all young people in the UK play outside and when they do, they are mainly at school where play is often confined to tarmac and pavements

Conventional play equipment is often generic, sterile and full of artificial materials which takes young people further away from nature and any connection to the place where they play

The term ‘natural play’ is now widely applied to any manufactured equipment made out of wood. We understand it to have a much deeper meaning

Bringing nature back for a healthier future

We’re passionate about U.K. wildlife, but it's no secret that nature is in trouble. The latest State of Nature Report 2023 paints a pretty grim picture of the impact we're having on wildlife.

At Wildwood UK, we believe our play structures and wild landscapes can be part of the solution. We're not just creating habitats for struggling species—we're sparking conversations, encouraging active learning, and inspiring a deep love for the natural world.

Around one in six species are at risk of becoming extinct in the UK

Happy Customers

Read what our past clients have to say about us

We commissioned Wildwood UK to design and install an innovative natural play area within our new Community Park.

The Park has since won a design award and we receive frequent visits from other local authorities who want to replicate what Wildwood UK created for us.

Mike Noble

Easeborne Parish Council

Lawrence and his team made a bespoke climbing frame in a pretty tight spot in our garden and it's brilliant.

All made with natural local wood so it looks amazing, and our three teen/tweenage boys will play on this thing for years. Pretty sure Wildwood UK do something unique - completely recommend them.

Alex Horne

Comedian and TV Presenter

Great team to work with. Lawrence came up with some super concepts for our natural play area design at our National Trust site and happy with the end results.
